How files are processed

The browser reads an image, draws it to HTML Canvas, and creates a new JPG, PNG, or WebP file. JPG conversion uses quality 0.92, WebP conversion uses 0.86, compression offers four quality levels, and cropping saves the selected area.

What can change

Changing formats can affect transparency, file size, and encoding quality. Transparent areas become white in JPG, and an animated WebP becomes one still image. Each result card shows the original size, result size, and percentage change.

Available tools

You can convert PNG, JPG, and WebP images, compress them by quality level, and crop a selected area.

Operation and editorial review

Tool explanations and format guides are reviewed against actual browser behavior and public image-format specifications. Experiment records use fixed source files and encoding settings, and publish the source files, outputs, and measurements together. Pages are reviewed again when browser behavior or tool settings change.
